Love Island star hospitalised after nasty accident: 'Four hours later, all bandaged up'
ok.co.ukFormer Love Island contestant Georgia Townend was rushed to hospital on Monday after slicing through her thumb, later telling followers that she had made several new friends.The reality TV star was terrified as she couldn’t stop the bleeding at home, prompting her to go to A&E.
Speaking to her followers, the 28 year old said: “I hate going to the doctors, hospital, A&E etc, feel like I’m wasting their time but I’ve sliced my thumb right open and it’s been bleeding non stop for quite literally hours. “I have grown quite attached to it over the years so rather it didn’t fall off.” Georgia, who has a degree in food and nutrition, told fans that she was at the hospital for the “foreseeable” and urged them to send “help, send hugs, send patience.” In a later update, she added: “Four hours later, all bandaged up.” While Georgia hates hospitals, she did make some new friends.The former Lidl employee explained: “Big shout out to my new mates Charlotte, Doug and Jodie who I met in A&E and spent the entire evening with. "Pretty much know their whole life stories now.” Georgia’s time at the Love Island villa was fairly short-lived, having arrived on day 23 before leaving on day 25 and returning to her job as a marketing executive.
After testing the dating waters with Hugo Hammond, Georgia stopped playing the game and was booted out after failing to couple up.
