Love Island 2023 runner's up Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins have finally taken the opportunity to fully address the allegations that the couple became wrapped up in an argument during during their flight home from South Africa, pledging to set the record straight.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan in a social media clip which saw the loved-up duo answering questions that fans of the show had submitted, former financial advisor Ron, 25, read: "Have you seen any rumours about yourself that you'd like to set straight?" Make-up artist Lana, also 25, then chimed in to address the claims: "There was a rumour that we had an argument on the plane, but really Ron got drunk on the plane." "I had a great flight," Ron teases.

Lana then replies, smiling: "I looked after him, so I wouldn't say it was an argument, I would say that I literally had to look after him like a baby." "Yeah, I was a pain in the a**e, I'm not going to lie," Ron adds. "I was just - I was a problem, but a funny problem.

And then they just stuck us in different cabs and then they've just made this thing, so we're setting that straight." Lana continues: "Yeah, we didn't argue." A source had previously told The Sun following the couples departure from the South African villa: "Lana and Ron had a furious argument on the plane home - production crew had to step in and calm it down. "They were so fuming they refused to film the 'meeting the family' part of the reunion show at Heathrow until producers stepped in again." The onlooker added to the publication: "They were due to stay overnight in London together but after the fight they went back to their family homes separately to cool down." However, a source later corroborated Ron and Lana's claims that they were placed in separate.
