The sixth series of Love Island began broadcasting on 12 January 2020 on ITV2. The series was announced on 24 July 2019 when it was confirmed that two series would air in 2020, and is also the first winter edition of the series. Unlike the summer edition, the luxury villa is located in Cape Town. This series is also the first to be hosted by Laura Whitmore, having taken over from Caroline Flack. The series is narrated by Iain Stirling.

On 15 February 2020, following the death of former presenter Caroline Flack, the Unseen Bits episode due to air that day was not broadcast; but was made available on the ITV Hub. The regular episode did not air the following day either. The show returned on 17 February with a tribute to Flack. On the same day, ITV2 confirmed that the companion series Love Island: Aftersun which was set to air after that episode's main show would not be broadcast. A further tribute to Flack aired during the final on 23 February, which featured a compilation of her time throughout her five series as host

Love Island's Paige and Finn tease reality TV return after Celeb Coach Trip

Scots Love Island winner Paige Turley and Finley Tapp have teased their return to reality TV after Celebrity Coach Trip. This week fans have seen the couple make their first joint appearance on the box since they won they won the ITV show at the beginning of 2020.

Paige, from West Lothian, and Finn joined the celebrity coach in Portugal after they had been holidaying in Cyprus, and admitted that the major attraction of this series was being able to take part in it together.

The duo exclusively told The Mirror that fans may be seeing them on screens again within the year. Finn said: “I think doing Coach Trip was a nice show to do and it certainly opened up our eyes to potentially doing more reality stuff.“I would say that it's perhaps something that fans might be able to see us do within the year.”Finn and Paige joined the E4 cast partway through the series and were welcomed onto the coach by “lovely” tour guide Brendan Sheerin.Finn said: “We were so excited to meet him because obviously we've seen Coach Trip before and clips on YouTube and he just seems such a laugh.“He was exactly what we expected when we met him - full of beans and a good laugh.”The Love Island alums had to find their footing amidst the “brutal” voting process, as friendships had already been made on the coach.Paige said: “We eased into the group really quickly and everybody was so nice.

I think a lot of people had forgotten that you had to vote people off until the time came to it.”The 24-year-old said there was a degree of “voting tactics”, as the original cast tried to keep each other on the coach, but Finn said this was understandable.He added: “If you took all the votes to heart, you wouldn't enjoy the experience for what it was.“We just tried
