Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.
The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.
Love Island star Maura Higgins has revealed the reason why she was late to The Brit Awards, and it was all down to the traffic.The brunette beauty, 31, joined the likes of Anne-Marie, Adele, Ed Sheeran and Idris Elba in attending the awards, but completely missed the red carpet as a result of the bad traffic she endured on the way.Taking to Instagram to explain why she was late, she told her 3.3 million followers: “Guys I have actually missed the red carpet, urm, because the traffic was crazy and I’m only just arriving.” In the background of the clip, you can hear the crowd at the Brits cheering for whoever was on stage.
Maura stunned in a black and white co-ord made up of a one-shouldered top resembling one side of a blazer jacket, paired with a risqué black mini skirt with a split up the side and a single button holding it all together.
Completing the look, Maura wore her hair in slicked back bun and a pair of dangling diamond earrings. Maura’s celebrity pals were quick to gush over how stunning she looked.
