Love Island star Amy Hart has worried fans in her latest health update after receiving her biopsy results. The 29-year-old star, who shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show after coupling up with Curtis Pritchard in 2019, revealed earlier this year she had been diagnosed with HPV back in May and that she would need further tests.

If HPV is not found in a sample, the risk of that person getting cervical cancer is very low and there is no need to have any further tests to check for abnormal cervical cells.

However, if HPV is found, the person may need either another cervical screening test or a colposcopy; a different test to look at the cervix if both HPV and abnormal cells are found, writes the Mirror.Amy urged her followers to get tested if they are concerned as it is Cervical Cancer Awareness Week.

Taking to Instagram, she revealed that she had undergone a biopsy today. She said: "Before I went in there, they told me that they would only biopsies if they really, really had to," she said. "Surprise, surprise, they really, really had to take the biopsies and they said on the pictures that the cells do look quite high grade so [they'll] probably have to take them out and send them off for testing so I'll have to go back."So yeah, not great news but I'm really glad that I had all my smears on time.
