LOVE Island fans have been left horrified as Gemma Owen revealed when show bosses originally tried to sign her up. The ITV2 dating show star took to YouTube in a tell-all video about her experience before, during and after the villa this summer.
Gemma, 19, opened up about her reservations about agreeing to go on Love Island when she was first approached by producers. But she left fans in shock when she revealed she was originally scouted for the show LAST year - when she was just 18 years old.
She told her following: "I actually got approached last year, and because of my horse riding it was like my busiest time. "I went to the European Championships last year - so there was no way I was going to take two months out of the summer.
