The boss of the BBC One cop drama has spoken out numerous times on the latest series after fans were left divided over the big finale on Sunday night.

More than 12 million people tuned in to watch the final episode of series six as the identity of 'the fourth man' - previously known as 'H' - was uncovered.

And it was DS Ian Buckells who was unmasked as the unlikely culprit and sat through a classic interrogation scene - or a glass box scene as actor Nigel Boyle described it.
