Lorraine Kelly asks Dr Hilary to take over as ITV show plunged into chaos over her lost voice

Lorraine Kelly's ITV morning programme on Thursday was plunged into chaos as the presenter admitted she has lost her voice, asking colleague Dr Hilary to step in for her.

The Scots presenter took to social media in a hurry ahead of her show as she asked her followers for advice on how to cure it quickly.Good Morning Britain hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway spoke to her in the crossover from their ITV show, as Lorraine joked if her colleague could take over whilst holding up cards with words written on them, explaining she lost her voice and couldn't speak.

Dr Hilary was forced to step in and give us a roundup of what was coming on the show, with many expecting her not to be able to present.

When her show began, Lorraine struggled through, but it was clear her voice was very hoarse, as she joked she would be "going home to guzzle a bottle of whiskey" after she comes off-air.
