LOOSE Women has been thrown into chaos after some of the famous panellists have "threaten to quit" over a pay row. The popular lunchtime show could see "walk-outs" from its celebrity team, after ITV was hit by changes by HMRC to tax legislation.

It is now reportedly up to ITV to decide whether a role is employed or self-employed for tax purposes. According to The Mirror, the stars of Loose Women work freelance, declaring themselves self-employed.

The publication claims that some of the presenters "have been told" to go on a PAYE contract, increasing their 19% corporation tax to 40% of their earnings between £50,271 and £150,000, as well as National Insurance Because of this the Loose Women team have been "in talks" for "several weeks", and the on-going situation could even result in a "walk out", if a resolution is not found.
