Apple - Android Although Irene was a dab hand at the art of whisking and flipping, she measured her ingredients in ounces – while Graham’s visual impairment meant it was easier for him to work in cup measures.“On one of our first calls, I asked Irene if she had a good pancake recipe which she had, but it was in ounces and, as I couldn’t see the scales, I asked for it in cup measures,” said Graham, of The Village, East Kilbride.Former additional needs support worker Irene, also of East Kilbride, converted the recipe for her new friend by measuring out the ingredients by the cup – an exercise that led to the pair making a batch together over the phone.Graham added: “It was a great laugh.
