Arctic Monkeys have announced a run of arena shows in Ireland for 2023 – you can find all the details below.The Sheffield band are due to play three headline gigs at the 3Arena in Dublin on October 15, 17 and 19. Additionally, they’ll take to the stage at the SSE Arena in Belfast on October 16.Miles Kane is set to appear as a “special guest” support act at each of the new dates, which will bring AM’s ‘The Car’ world tour to a close.The Monkeys were forced to cancel a concert at Marlay Park in Dublin earlier this summer after frontman Alex Turner came down with acute laryngitis.Per a press release, previous ticketholders for the original date will be sent a unique access code and given 72-hour priority pre-sale access to buy tickets, starting at 9am BST this Friday (August 25).All remaining tickets will be made available at 9am BST next Tuesday (August 29) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.

James Ford has revealed that the initial plans for Arctic Monkeys‘ ‘The Car’ would have seen the record be more “outward-facing”.Speaking to NME for our Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?! franchise, Ford shared that the album was supposed to be “bigger and more outward-facing,” but had its direction changed when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.“The pandemic happened, and [Alex Turner] went into his own bubble, returning with these beautiful, intimate, sad songs. We recorded in this country house in Suffolk.

Arctic Monkeys have brought recent single ‘Body Paint’ to German TV ahead of the release of new album ‘The Car’ this Friday (October 21) – see the performance below.‘Body Paint’ was released last month as the second single from the band’s seventh album, following first taster ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’.The band have already performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and last week (October 11) they headed to the Late Night Berlin TV show to air a performance of the track.Reviewing ‘Body Paint’, NME wrote: “‘Body Paint’ may conjure up all the stirring emotions from ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ but the riveting track is proof that the band have no issue creating something otherworldly, even when the subject matter is far closer to earth.”Watch them perform it on German TV below.Last week, the band also added European headline dates to their 2023 world tour.

Arctic Monkeys have added a second Manchester date to their 2023 UK and Ireland stadium tour following a huge early demand for tickets.The returning Sheffield four-piece will tour in the UK and Ireland in May and June next year, with tickets set to go on general sale here tomorrow morning (September 30).A pre-sale for the whole tour took place earlier this morning (September 29), with the pre-sale for the band’s initial Manchester date at Emirates Old Trafford on June 2, 2023 selling out.Arctic Monkeys will now play a second date at Emirates Old Trafford on June 3, 2023.
