The first pints will be poured for thirsty punters while those with overgrown 'lockdown hair' will be queuing up for a much-needed trim.

Other parts of the leisure industry can also resume today - zoos, theme parks and drive-in cinemas have all been given the green light.

Today marks the start of Step Two of the government's roadmap out of lockdown. It follows months of closure for large parts of the hospitality sector as people were urged to stay at home.
