Messi departed his beloved Catalan club after being unable to re-sign due to their financial issues, while Ronaldo wanted out of Italy with a year left on his contract.The pair of footballing greats are now fully focused on their new ventures at Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.However, with La Liga and Serie A both having finished their 2021 schedule, and Barca and Juve now on a winter break, Messi and Ronaldo have miraculously finished as their top scorers for the year.The Argentina international scored 28 goals before his contract expired in the summer.
