Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar uses the show to pay subtle tribute to his late father

Throughout Line of Duty, Hastings, played by Irish actor Adrian Dunbar, can be heard muttering the words ‘Mother of God,’ at certain points in a number of episodes.
We believed this was just something his character was scripted to say, but it turns out, the character trait has a more personal connection to the actor.
