Kenny Beats has unveiled details today (August 25) of his debut solo album, ‘Louie’.The album from the super-producer will arrive next week on August 31 via XL recordings. Roadside Attractions inked a multi-year output deal with Hulu for its post-theatrical window — known as the pay one window — sooner bringing the company’s films to the streamer. Under the terms of the deal, Hulu will receive exclusive U.S. streaming rights to upcoming Roadside Attractions films including director Phyllis Nagy’s abortion drama “Call Jane,” starring Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver; and the feel-good “Gigi & Nate,” featuring Charlie Rowe, Marcia Gay Harden and Jim Belushi.

The Eggers brothers, whose older sibling Robert Eggers has collaborated with A24 on “The Witch” and “The Lighthouse,” will be directing in their feature filmmaking debut. They adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name. “The Front Room” follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.  Along with Norwood, the ’90s music icon who is also of “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Moesha” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” fame, is co-starring alongside Kathryn Hunter (“The Tragedy of Macbeth”), Andrew Burnap (“WeCrashed,” Broadway’s “The Inheritance”) and Neal Huff (“Spotlight”).

It was announced Wednesday, August 24, that a federal jury found that Los Angeles County must pay $31 million in damages to Vanessa and her co-plaintiff Christopher Chester. Christopher lost his wife Sarah and their 13-year-old daughter Payton in the 2020 helicopter crash. Vanessa will be awarded $16 million and Christopher $15 million.
