Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Liam Gallagher fans face being stranded after Hampden gig amid rail chaos in Glasgow

Liam Gallagher fans could face being stranded in Glasgow tonight as rail chaos has seen services across the city slashed.Thousands of ticket holders are expected to descend onto Hampden Park ahead of the rock ‘n’ roll icon’s show at 4pm.But ScotRail has warned revelers to consider their travel options due to the temporary timetable currently in place on Sundays.

Ongoing industrial action means that there will be no trains departing from nearby stations after the concert finishes at 10.30pm.The last services from Mount Florida, Crosshill and Kings Park all terminate an hour-and-a-half before the music stops.

And the rail operator has warned fans that there will also be no trains leaving the city centre.So any revellers hoping to get the train home tonight will need to leave the gig early.Fans have been urged to travel early and to consider alternative means of transport.

A statement from ScotRail reads: "We'll be doing everything we can to help you travel to Hampden Park to see Liam Gallagher perform."When heading home after the concert, we urge you to check your entire journey and know what alternative transport is available, as there will be no trains departing Mount Florida or Kings Park back to Glasgow Central due to the temporary timetable currently in place. "There will also be no trains out of the city centre after the concert ends at 10.30pm."Services across the country will be disrupted as signal boxes will reopened at different times throughout the day after the 24-hour walkout yesterday.
