Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On 17 May 2019 he released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which remained at the top of the UK Albums Chart for six weeks.

Lewis Capaldi has praised his friends for keeping him grounded throughout the rise of his global success in his new Netflix documentary How I'm Feeling Now'The 26-year-old star commended his group of school pals, including LF System's Conor Larkman, for holding him accountable and helping him to stay down to earth.Lewis shot to fame at the end of 2016 after his music was noticed on SoundCloud.

Now, 15 billion global streams later, the star still attributes part of his success to the people he met as a student at St Kentigern’s Academy, or St Kents as it's known, in Blackburn, Scotland.Describing his mates, Lewis says: "Friends that I hang about with now are still friends that I had in school.""Michael [Duffy] is a grave digger, Conor [Larkman] is a roofer turned DJ, Niall [Cox] is a student recruitment officer, Dec Duff works with- welding things- an engineer of some form."He jokes:" I don't know even know what an engineer does.
