LEWIS CAPALDI performed his first headline festival gig this weekend – and joked to fans he had no new music to play because he was “too lazy” to write it.
The hit-maker was on the main stage at the Isle of Wight Festival and admitted that he was “s**tting himself” after years out of the spotlight.
He told the audience: “I was meant to play new music but I’m a lazy c*** and didn’t do it over lockdown. "We are at a festival, you just want to hear all the old s**t anyway.” Lewis, who made his return to performing last week at Manchester festival Parklife – his first gig since he played Wembley Stadium in March 2020 – continued: “I’m very rusty at this.
