Leigh Francis opens up about emotional struggles on ITV's Loose Women

The 51-year-old comedian appeared on ITV's Loose Women on Friday to discuss his memoir, which was published earlier this month.Host Kaye Adams commented: "You speak very personally in this book about some really difficult things" Leigh acknowledged: "It is quite serious, there's depth in there" but quickly added that the book also contains "some funny stuff".Linda Robson then asked: "Your dad died at a very young age didn't he? " Leigh responded: "He was 47 and the weirdest thing is I'm older than my dad, that's a weird feeling.
When I was doing the audio book, the audio book was the hardest thing I've ever done..." He continued: "There's a sound producer there, that you don't know and you're crying in front of him.
I was crying and he said: 'Do you want to stop? ' and I said: 'No, just keep going.'"When asked which part of the book made him cry while reading it out loud, he replied: "My dad!
When you're writing it, I remember tearing up writing it, but saying it outloud and reading it, it was horrific I felt." Asked how old he was when his father tragically passed away, Leigh revealed: "I was 21!
