A legendary singer, who was dubbed 'the voice in a million', has sadly passed away following a battle with cancer. His daughter revealed the sad news and paid tribute to her 'talented' father.

It has been confirmed that Eddie Low, a New Zealand country singer who released over 20 albums, has died at the age of 81 after a year-long battle with cancer.The talented singer and musician, who was born blind, enjoyed a career in the industry for over 60 years, releasing hugely successful country albums and singles during the 70s and 80s.

His daughter, Maria shared a heartbreaking statement on Facebook as she praised her father for his "resilience, determination, and talent." She wrote: "His music will live on forever.

Eddie Low passed away peacefully at 7.45am Saturday September 2024, with loved ones at his side." She continued: "Born into poverty on 14 May 1943, Eddie's life was marked by extraordinary resilience, determination, and talent.
