So over the weekend, the Manchester Evening News went to Cholrton-cum-Hardy to see how to see how residents and businesses are feeling about face masks.

Some shops in the South Manchester suburb have notices up either advising or asking people to wear masks. 'Face coverings are still required to enter this store,' it says on the outside of Cake Box on Wilbraham Road.

Meanwhile, the British Heart Foundation, which sits inside an outdoor shopping centre where face masks were once required, says: 'We highly recommend the wearing of face coverings in store unless exempt'.
