Prince Harry's visa is currently under scrutiny after a lawsuit was filed demanding the immediate publication of the duke's American visa records.A Washington-based organisation known as the Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Homeland Security after Harry admitted to taking drugs in his controversial memoir Spare.
In his book Spare, the royal openly confessed that he has used cocaine, mushrooms and other illegal drugs in the past, both in the US and abroad.
Drug use is usually grounds for inadmissibility in the US visa application process.Harry no longer lives in the UK after he left for a new life with his wife Meghan Markle in California.
The new court filing reads: "Widespread and continuous media coverage has surfaced the question whether DHS properly admitted the Duke of Sussex in light of the fact that he has publicly admitted to the essential elements of a number of drug offences in both the United States and abroad."United States law generally renders such a person inadmissible for entry to the United States.
