Laura Whitmore in shock career change as she prepares for West End acting debut
ok.co.ukLaura Whitmore has surprised fans by announcing a brand new role in a West End show.The Love Island presenter, 37, may be best known for her presenting work, but she's now taking the leap to the stage in 2:22 A Ghost Story in London's West End, playing a character called Jenny.
Confirming the news on social media, Laura shared an image of herself on the show's poster, where she can be seen staring intently at the audience, wearing a loose black shirt and wearing her blonde hair slicked back.
In the caption, Laura wrote: "News!!! I’m joining the cast of 2:22 A Ghost Story from September 6th! Come see me on stage making my West End debut in this critically-acclaimed psychological thriller.
For a limited run only, Book now!" A Ghost Story focuses on new mother Jenny and her baby as they are haunted by what seems to be a spectre at 2:22am each night in their newly renovated east London home.
