Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Lanarkshire students given advice to combat scammers looking to defraud them out of cash online

As Lanarkshire students begin life at, or return to, universities to take part in undergraduate courses, they are being warned that scammers continue to employ "new and creative methods" to defraud them out of thousands of pounds online.These include Student Loans Company (SLC) phishing scams, and Freshers Week tickets and student accommodation rental scams.David Janssen, a cybersecurity expert and founder of VPNOverview, has highlighted the most common online student scams - and advised Lanarkshire students on what to look out for and how to avoid them.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

"Scammers will choose to send ‘phishing’ emails or texts to students during these months, in which they falsely pose as the SLC asking you to verify personal banking information."These texts or emails often ask the user to log into their account and confirm their banking details via a ‘secure link’ in order to receive their first loan payment."This link will then direct the user to a copycat webpage that replicates the SLC website, which then steals your personal
