A fleet-footed youngster from North Lanarkshire has been praised by his idol Michael Flatley after wowing him at a special anniversary performance of Lord of the Dance.Irish-dancer Oscar Donnelly, 11, from New Stevenston has been dancing since the age of three, and is now a two-time World Champion in his age category.From a young age he has been nicknamed “Wee Mick”, in reference to legendary Irish-dancing hero Flatley, and Oscar recently had the opportunity to perform in front of him at the opening night of Lord of the Dance in Dublin.The P7 pupil at Christ the King Primary in Holytown was sensational as the show’s creator looked on in admiration.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
