Lanarkshire school full of festive spirit as they prepare for Christmas Fair

Pupils at a Lanarkshire school are full of festive cheer as they prepare for their first Christmas fair in three years. Burnside Primary in Rutherglen will open its doors on Sunday for the popular local event, which was last held in 2019.

Amongst the festivities there will be stallholders selling gifts galore, fun and games for all the family, must-have raffles prizes, a Christmas café, the ever-popular tombola stalls and a Guess The Gonk competition.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Little visitors to the fair can pop into Santa’s Grotto to tell Father Christmas what’s on their list this year while one of the school’s pupils, Lily Young, will be running her own special stall.Lily, a P6 pupil, was keen to do her bit for the school’s fundraising and will be running a stall selling craft items and Christmas treats.
