Lanarkshire park visitors can now tap into water refills

Visitors using top-up water taps at three Lanarkshire parks have helped to reduce single-use plastic waste by thousands of bottles since their installation.Strathclyde and Calderglen country parks were among the first locations to have Scottish Water’s distinctive blue taps put in place, followed last year by Drumpellier in Coatbridge which became the 40th addition to the network.

It has since expanded to number 75 public water facilities across the country – and which have now seen users topping up their own refillable containers save a combined total of more than two million single-use bottles.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
