Lanarkshire MSP welcomes UK Government funding for grassroots football

A Lanarkshire MSP has “warmly welcomed” UK Government funding for grassroots sports facilities in the local area. In conjunction with the Scottish Football Association, the UK Government have delivered £2 million worth of funding for 23 sites across Scotland.

Motherwell Community Trust was one of the successful applications receiving funding of £182,000 which will help towards the cost of an artificial grass surface.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
