Lanarkshire kids and parents enjoy fun book bus sessions

Young children and their parents got the chance to enjoy a great interactive book experience. Over 40 children came along to the Glencassels Community Development Project (The Venny) in Craigneuk to see the PlayTalkRead bus in action.

The initiative is part of the wider support provided for parents and families through the Scottish Government’s Parent Club.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Councillor Magowan said: “The leaders Jenny MacFarlane, Cami Richardson and Will Simpson were working very hard to ensure that the parents, grandparents, carers and children were totally engaged in story telling and messy play.“The police and the fire service were also in attendance to foster a trusting relationship in the community.“It was wonderful to see about 46 families attending.
