Lanarkshire golfers help drive foundation to £100k for epilepsy charity

Amateur golfers went a fairway to helping people who have epilepsy as a charity foundation smashed through the £100,000 fundraising mark.The Funky Natz Foundation, which was set-up by family and friends in memory of 11-year-old Natalie Hughes who died suddenly in March 2011, raised £13,743 at it’s annual tournament at Wishaw Golf Club.The Lanarkshire girl’s tragic death was unexplained but as she suffered from epilepsy her family decided to start raising money for Epilepsy Scotland in her name.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

We had someone who nearly won a set of golf clubs at the eighth, he was only a foot-and-a-half away, that was the closest. There were great prizes at all the short holes but no one was close for the car."It was a great day.
