Lanarkshire community group earns cycling award

A busy Lanarkshire neighbourhood organisation has earned national recognition for its efforts to get local residents on their bikes.Glenboig Development Trust has been awarded “cycling friendly community” status for its variety of projects ranging from hiring out adapted cycles and offering rickshaw rides to early lessons for toddlers and bike maintenance classes.It was granted by national body Cycling Scotland, whose awards recognise the efforts of groups who “make it possible for anyone, anywhere to enjoy the benefits of cycling”.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
