Lanark schoolgirl's family home transformed into diner for Lanimers celebrations

The family home of a Lanark schoolgirl was transformed into an American-style diner for the night as part of the Lanimers Week celebrations.Eleven-year-old Izzy Young, who was chosen to be a Lanimers' Lady in Waiting, helped keep residents and visitors watching the annual traditional walk up Waterloo Road fuelled and refreshed.For one evening only on Monday, to coincide with The Perambulation of the Marches, the pop-up diner offered up burgers, hotdogs, soda, and sundaes for soda - more commonly referred to in these parts as choc-ices and cans of ginger.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
