Especially when the former Rangers striker was in a studio surrounded by fans of the Auld Enemy. But Boyd accused Sky Sports News anchor Tom White of playing DOWN his Three Lions player ratings – only to be mercilessly slapped down.
Boyd appeared on the Qatar World Cup 2022 breakfast show and the Ibrox legend was asked to rate how Gareth Southgate’s England fared in their thumping World Cup opening win over Iran.
Boyd understandably gave the players big scores following their brilliant victory over albeit limited opponents. The former Ibrox and Kilmarnock goal machine said: "(Bukayo) Saka and (Jude) Bellingham stood out.
