King Charles III‘s official coronation portraits have been released! The 74-year-old monarch sits on his throne, wearing the St.
Edward’s Crown and holding onto the golden orb and scepter that he was presented with during his coronation ceremony over the weekend. Charles, and Queen Camilla posed for the official portraits following the Coronation lunch, alongside many of their family members.
His son, William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, posed with him along with Charles‘ youngest brother, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and his sister, Anne, Princess Royal, with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
Others in the group photo include Charles‘ first cousins, once removed Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester and Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, and Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy. Prince Harry, and Charles‘ other brother, Prince Andrew, as well as his daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, are noticeably absent from the photographs.
