Following the tragic death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles has not only been navigating the personal grief of losing his beloved mother, but he has also been busy transitioning into his new role as monarch.

After immediately becoming King Charles upon his mother’s passing, the 73 year old has undertaken several unique traditions including a tour of the four home nations and a procession of the late Queen’s coffin.

And another unique obstacle that Charles now faces as King is the matter of where he will be based as head of the British monarchy.

A week on since his mother’s death, Charles has headed to Highgrove House in Gloucestershire where he will have a “private day of reflection”.
