Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Kind-hearted Lanarkshire kids show their caring side by helping neighbours

Kind-hearted youngsters in a Lanarkshire town have recently shown off their caring side by helping their neighbours. A group of kids involved with the Burnhill Action Group in Rutherglen wanted to do what they could to help others due to the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Last week the kids went out and delivered special winter care packages throughout the community, and the reaction was described as "heartwarming".The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

They went shopping for the stuff and packed them as well as delivering and cheering some of our neighbours up along the way. "We gave 15 packs to some of our residents who have lived here for many years, because wanted to let them know that we have them in our minds and they are valued members of our community. "The response we got was just beautiful, as the amount of residents who were blown away with this small act of kindness was amazing.
