Kim Kardashian has denied claims that she attempted to import a "looted and smuggled" Ancient Roman sculpture. A report by Artnet alleges that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star purchased the limestone antique from Axel Vervoordt Gallery in Belgium in 2016.
However, in May 2016, Los Angeles customs reportedly "seized a $750,000 shipment" in Kim's name when the sculpture arrived along with 40 other antiques weighing up to 5.5-ton.The United States has restricted archeological imports originating from Italy to crack down on the looting of cultural heritage.
