Rutherglen Glencairn manager Willie Harvey was left disappointed after his side’s second-half collapse at Kilwinning Rangers. But Harvey says that was an improvement on the anger he felt following a similar implosion at Hurlford United last month. After a strong first 45 minutes against Kilwinning, Glens conceded in the first 60 seconds of the second half, and went on to lose 3-0 on their travels in the West of Scotland League Premier Division, through goals from David Syme, Ally McColm and Thomas Collins. That result comes two games after that 4-1 defeat to Hurlford and the boss admits that his players gave him plenty more in Ayrshire.Harvey explained: “We lost our first goal in the first 45 seconds of the second half.
You are up against it straight away and we had the weather conditions to deal with as well.“Your team talk from half-time goes straight out the window.
Everything you have spoken about and intended to do in the second half changes.“It’s switching off. It’s coming in from the first half off the back off a horrible day.
It was cold, you come back into the dressing room, and then we went out in the second half and got caught cold.“Callum Shields held up his hand.
