Kendrick Lamar scores first Irish Number 1 album with Mr Morale & The Big Steppers

Kendrick Lamar earns his first ever Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. By far the most streamed album of the week, and only available on digital formats, Mr Morale… is Kendrick Lamar’s first chart-topper, and third Top 10 in Ireland.

At Number 2 is Florence & The Machine with fifth studio album Dance Fever, which picks up the biggest physical and digital download numbers of the week to become Florence’s fifth Top 5 album.

Meanwhile, Dermot Kennedy rebounds two to Number 5 with his debut album Without Fear, and Little Mix’s Between Us climbs three to Number 7 following their final tour (for now).

Just outside the Top 10 at Number 11 is Mullingar band The Blizzards with fourth album Sometimes We See More In The Dark. Further down, folk duo Ye Vagabonds debut at Number 28 with their latest release Nine Waves, and English rock band The Smile – comprising Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood alongside Sone Of Kemet’s Tom Skinner – see their debut album A Light For Attracting Attention enters straight in at Number 31.
