MTV Movie & TV Awards are ready to honor the best of entertainment in an epic, one-night-only event!On Tuesday, MTV announced the full list of nominees for the upcoming awards ceremony. Originally announced as a two-night event, the show will now honor top favorites in both scripted and unscripted entertainment in one star-studded ceremony, set to air live from Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday, June 5, at 8 p.m.

MTV said Wednesday that it is combining its 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards and Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted shows into one event, to air Sunday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

The outlet also announced that this year’s event would combine the longrunning MTV Movie & TV Awards with its recent spinoff, the all-reality “Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted,” into a one-night event to air live on Sunday, June 5.MTV originally announced in March that the second annual reality-centric “Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted” would air on the following night, Monday, June 6; there was no explanation given on why the two shows were ultimately moved to the same night.In 2021, the “MTV Movie & TV Awards” and the inaugural “Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted” were held on different nights.
