Kate Middleton gets hands on during her visit to the Irish Guards on Salisbury Plain on a snowy Wednesday (March 8) in England.
The Princess of Wales, who became the Colonel of the Irish Guards last year, spent the day with the 1st Battalion Irish Guards where she assisted Lance Corporal Jodie Newell as they tended to a “wounded soldier” in an exercise at the Salisbury Plain Training Area.
According to People, Kate also learned “about anti-poaching aid that is delivered to troops and park rangers in East Africa and how the regiment is supporting the Ukrainian army in its anti-landmine work.” At the end of her visit, she also watched a demonstration of the weapon systems the regiments use.
Throughout her visit, Kate was asking many questions to the guards of their training, including if it was dedicated to “building better relationships in their communities.” Kate‘s husband, William, Prince of Wales, was the former Colonel of the Irish Guards.
