Kate Garraway says the past two days have been like 'trudging uphill on ice' as she shared an update on her personal life. The Good Morning Britain presenter added she had comfort as her Spring flowers had began to bloom.Much-loved Kate, 55, is continuing to care for her husband Derek Draper whose health has been deteriorating since catching coronavirus in March 2020.

In a post on Twitter in Tuesday, she said: "So this is why I love nature and gardening so much."After a tricky 48 hours of feeling like I am trudging uphill on ice, my first Crocus bursts up - the spirit of life and hope in gorgeous yellow form."Along with the post, Kate shared an image of her flowers, writes The Mirror.

It wasn't long before her followers reacted to the post as one person wrote: "Sending you some huge hugs Kate." Someone else replied: "These little pleasures make the struggles seem unimportant.

We’ve been on that icy slope for seven years hoping for the day when it melts. In the meantime we’ll just have to don some sturdy boots.
