The rapper is being lined up to become the creative director at swanky designer label Louis Vuitton. I’ve learned he is being tipped to take over from Virgil Abloh, his close pal and the brand’s former artistic director for menswear, who died with cancer last month.
The pair are said to have masterminded the move, which would install the singer at the heart of the fashion industry, before Virgil’s death aged just 41.
At his friend’s memorial in Chicago this week, Kanye was supported by his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The fashion guru, who also launched the Off-White label, fought a two-year.
