Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has admitted that Manchester United's reliance on goalkeeper David de Gea isn't a "good recipe" to have if they are to achieve their ambitions of winning silverware.
Despite getting back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Spanish outfit Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening, thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho, United still had to call upon shot-stopper De Gea to help them record an impressive away victory.
As he so often has this season, De Gea made a string of fine saves to help the Reds make a winning start to life under caretaker manager Michael Carrick and secure their spot in the last-16 of the competition.
