Manchester City defender John Stones has sent a belated farewell message to Oleksandr Zinchenko after the Ukrainian left-back completed his transfer to Arsenal last week.
Zinchenko said an emotional goodbye to his City teammates in Houston last week after the two clubs agreed a fee of £30m, plus £2m in easily achievable add-ons.
However, Stones was not present at the 25-year-old's farewell speech as he did not travel with the squad to the United States.
Stones, Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan did not meet US entry requirements, so joined the U23s' pre-season camp in Croatia. On Monday Stones took to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to his former teammates, offering a glimpse into what made the 25-year-old such a popular figure inside the City dressing room.
