Jennifer Garner shared some heartbreaking news amid the Los Angeles wildfires. During an interview with MSNBC alongside World Central Kitchen‘s Chef José Andrés on Friday, the 52-year-old actress revealed to reporter Katy Tur that she lost one of her friends.

Sadly, the L.A. County medical confirmed that at least 11 people have died amid the fires. In addition to the fatalities, thousands of residents also have lost their houses.
Jennifer, who has lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years, even expressed that many of her own friends’ homes had been destroyed: Because of this, the 13 Going on 30 star feels “almost guilty walking through” her still-standing house so much so that she’s determined to lend a helping hand as much as possible now: This week, she was seen volunteering alongside Chef José to feed firefighters and evacuees.
