Jeff Stelling reckons the chances of a Rangers title victory this season are now looking dead in the water as the season enters its final few months.Ange Postecoglou's rampant Celtic side have dropped just four points all season but return to the scene of where they dropped three of them in September against St Mirren on Sunday.
That means Michael Beale's second-placed side can close the gap to two games this afternoon with a win at home against a Kilmarnock side who have been wretched on the road since returning to the Premiership from Championship territory, picking up just two points on their travels.Addressing the Scottish top flight title race on Sky Sports, Stelling admitted that hope is all Rangers have at the minute, but he did pose a question for Ibrox hero Kris Boyd to answer.
He said: “Every Rangers fan is going to be looking at Celtic. Nine points clear."They effectively need to lose three of their last 12 and draw one, which looks impossible.
But Celtic go to St Mirren, who are the only side to beat them so far this season in September, would it happen again?”Boyd was in no doubt that there would be zero repeat of the exceptional 2-0 win for Stephen Robinson's men in the autumn.Read more on dailyrecord.co.uk
