Jamie Carragher has urged Erik ten Hag to offload both Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo if he is confirmed as Manchester United’s new manager.

United look to be closing in on an appointment, with Ajax expecting Ten Hag to become United’s next manager. The 52-year-old became the club’s preferred candidate last month, having been one of the frontrunners alongside Mauricio Pochettino since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking back in November.

United are yet to confirm anything surrounding their next permanent appointment, but are aiming to make an announcement before the end of the season.
