James Michael Tyler is battling stage 4 prostate cancer. The 59-year-old actor - who is best known for portraying Gunther on 'Friends' - was diagnosed with the disease in September 2018 but it has spread to other parts of his body and he knows it is "gonna probably get" him at some point.

Speaking on 'Today', he said: "I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, which had spread to my bones. "I've been dealing with that diagnosis for almost the past three years. . . .

It's stage 4 (now). Late stage cancer. So eventually, you know, it's gonna probably get me. " Signs of the disease were first spotted during a routine annual check up and further tests saw James diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer.
