This Morning fans were quick to share their thoughts as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield turned the person who usually does the surprising into the one being surprised as they pulled a trick on Alison Hammond.

The ITV daytime show's Friday host thought she was heading out to Birmingham for her latest installment of 'Dosh on Your Doorstep' which sees the likes of Alison or co-star Josie Gibson show up at a viewer's house and make them answer questions in order to win a cash prize.

But prior to joining Alison, Phillip, 60, said: "We are starting the show today with a special surprise as we meet one of our most amazing Dosh on Your Doorstep contestants EVER!" And the hosts were soon left giggling as Alison suffered a slight blunder from the get-go. "We have just cut the feed to Alison's earpiece," he explained. "We've made everything up because the person we are surprising is Alison herself who has been on This Morning for an incredible and wonderful 20 years." Holly, 41, explained how they had set up a full morning of surprises for the presenters.

And after making her run down a pretty long street to find the house of the 'viewer' she was supposed to be surprising, Alison was greeted by her Big Brother pal Kate Lawler and This Morning co-star and friend Josie Gibson.
